The Role
As an Enterprise & Mid Market Solutions Architect, you will collaborate closely with an Enterprise Sales Executive and Customer Success Manager to drive new business and nurture strategic accounts. Your responsibilities will include crafting tailored solution architectures, guiding customers through technical decision-making, and ensuring ongoing success through onboarding and optimization. This role combines pre-sales and post-sales activities to deliver a seamless customer journey.
What You'll Be Doing
Act as the technical lead within your Sales Pod, forming strong partnerships with the Enterprise Sales Executive and Customer Success Manager.
Design scalable Layer 2 and Layer 3 network solutions that align with enterprise cloud strategies and digital transformation goals.
Lead technical discovery and architecture design during the pre-sales process.
Conduct product demos, workshops, and architecture sessions tailored to meet business and technical needs.
Support onboarding and expansion discussions to promote long-term adoption and customer satisfaction.
Build trusted relationships with IT architects, engineers, and decision-makers at enterprise accounts.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of Megaport's platform, APIs, and various cloud partner ecosystems.
Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and technical enablement initiatives to enhance pod-level execution.
Coordinate with internal specialists and the Global Solutions Architect team to ensure consistency and drive innovation across regions.
What We Are Looking For
5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or related fields.
Proven track record in designing enterprise cloud and network architectures in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success teams.
Strong knowledge of public cloud networking services (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Interconnect, Oracle FastConnect).
Ability to lead technical discussions with IT teams throughout the presales and onboarding processes.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of addressing both deep technical details and high-level executive overviews.
Hands-on experience with Terraform and API integrations is a bonus.
Robust understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 architectures, carrier networks, and interconnection strategies.
