Overview
A sweet young family of three is seeking a fantastic live-out nanny to care for their 2.5-year-old daughter in Greenwich, CT. The general schedule for the role is Monday through Friday, 9am-5 or 6pm, with flexibility for date nights approximately twice a month. The family is relocating from California and are currently still traveling back and forth between homes while they finalize things, so ideally their nanny will be willing to travel with them as needed- in CA the provided accommodation will be a private guest house. They are open to a candidate who is not able to travel back and forth but who is able to work full-time in Greenwich, as the family will soon be living there full-time.
Responsibilities
All duties related to the child, including overseeing sleep, meal, and hygiene routines
Creating a fun and enriching environment in the home- planning and participating in creative and developmentally appropriate activities and games
Researching and scheduling classes, playdates, and outings
Making nutritious kid-friendly meals
Keeping child's areas and belongings tidy and organized
Child-related laundry
Travel occasionally with the family (up to 10 days, a few times per year)
Qualifications
Proactive and organized
Active and energetic, and able to keep up with a busy toddler
Creative and engaging, and enjoys getting down to the child's level
Background in children's education and development
Positive, warm, and loving
Happy to work with involved parents, with an ability to "read the room" and step in and out as needed
Requirements
US work authorization
Driver's license and clean driving record
CPR/First aid certified
Local to Greenwich
Strong swimmer
Able to travel domestically and internationally (not required, but a huge bonus)
Comfortable working around cats
Salary and Benefits
$35-40/hr.+ (DOE)
