Overview
We are an established oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with a strong reputation for excellence in patient care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated full-time Surgical Dental Assistant who will also manage front desk reception duties. The ideal candidate should be honest, dependable, and possess excellent communication skills, working seamlessly as part of our patient care team.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 4 days per week with Friday rotations Travel to both locations (Joplin, MO & Pittsburg, KS) is required. Responsibilities Surgical Assistant Duties Include: Assisting chairside during oral surgical procedures Monitoring patients during recovery and post-discharge Preparing surgical rooms and instruments for procedures Cleaning and sterilizing instruments Taking dental x-rays Preparing patients for surgery, including vital signs and medical history Providing postoperative education to patients Taking impressions and maintaining equipment Front Desk Reception Duties Include: Greeting patients and creating an excellent first impression Managing the front desk area to maintain cleanliness and organization Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and fielding questions Managing email communications and ensuring accurate patient records Maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Coordinating with referring offices for seamless patient care Any other duties as assigned may also be required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to travel to both locations (Joplin, MO & Pittsburg, KS) Prior experience as a Surgical or Dental Assistant Knowledge of Dental Radiographs Familiarity with Dental software programs Preferred Skills CPR certification DAANCE training Previous experience in dental or medical reception, knowledge of dental/medical terminology, healthcare insurance, and office procedures is beneficial Familiarity with oral surgery or dental practice and procedures is a plus We Offer Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Flexible Spending Accounts, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and more!
