MISSION / SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and strategic Project Management Advisor who will focus on grant writing to support our workforce training and development initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for identifying, writing, and securing grant funding to enhance employee training programs, upskilling efforts, and workforce innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of workforce development, experience with public and private grant sources, and the ability to translate technical training needs into compelling proposals. The role is part-time with anticipated hours up to thirty-five (35) hours per week Monday - Friday.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, local, and private sources that align with the company's training and workforce development goals
Write clear, persuasive, and technically accurate grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting documentation
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Training, Operations, Finance) to gather data, define project goals, and develop budgets
Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of applications and reports
Track and report on grant outcomes, compliance requirements, and funding utilization
Build and maintain relationships with funding agencies, workforce boards, and community partners
Stay informed on trends in workforce development, manufacturing training, and grant funding landscapes
All other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of professional grant writing experience, preferably in workforce development, education, or manufacturing sectors
Proven track record of securing significant funding from federal, state, foundation, and corporate sources
Experience managing complex, multi-year, or collaborative proposals
Familiarity with nonprofit program development, budgeting, and evaluation
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or related field (master's preferred)
Proven success in securing grants from government agencies (e.g., DOL, DOE), foundations, or industry associations
Strong writing, editing, and research skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with workforce training programs, apprenticeships, or technical education is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management tools (e.g., Grants.gov, Foundation Directory)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
Travel required (5%)

$109,875.00
