ProSidian seeks a Java Developer 11/111 - Information Technology [IT112] engagement team member, W-2 employee, labor hour subcontract located at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina supporting a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRMC]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This is a labor hour subcontract or contract W-2 (IRS-1099) position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a full-time ProSidian employed W-2 position. Job Description
The purpose of the position is to provide support to the business system IT department. Functions including but not limited to: Using an agile development methodology, develop and maintain applications that support the company business departments (i.e., Accounting, Procurement, Human Resources, Project Controls, etc.) Develop interfaces between enterprise systems and in-house applications Perform initial developer testing and, working with the customers and business analyst, resolve issues that arise during user acceptance testing Support QA analyst in developing fully documented test plan Qualifications
Desired qualifications for Java Developer 11/111 - Information Technology [IT112] candidates: Demonstrated experience and success in application development, test plan development, testing, production turnover, and documentation Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent field with a minimum of 5 years of experience Associates degree in computer science or equivalent field with minimum of 7 years of experience High school diploma with a minimum of 9 years of experience Skills required: Java Servlets and JSPs Maven Eclipse JavaScript HTML XML CSS SQL data manipulation Secure coding techniques Experience in the following is preferred but not required: Query Tomcat Open Source Libraries Competencies required: Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. Teamwork skills are important in the highly matrixed project environment. A work week will be up to 40 hours based on assigned schedule. Work week excludes SRS holidays.
