About the Role:

Buffalo Solar

is hiring a dependable, curious, and team-oriented

Solar Service Technician

to join our growing service department. This position is primarily focused on

residential systems , with some

commercial service

as needed. Youll be responsible for

troubleshooting ,

performing inverter swaps ,

assisting with site assessments , and contributing to continuous improvement across the team.

This is an ideal role for someone with a background in solar or electrical workespecially if you're looking to transition from install teams into a service position where you can

think critically, grow technically, and contribute to something bigger than yourself. While the job is mostly local , candidates must be open to

occasional travel

for service calls or site assessments when needed.

What Youll Do:

Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues, with an ability to

anticipate failure points

and think through

root causes Perform

inverter replacements , component swaps, and minor electrical work Assist in

site assessments

for pre-install analysis Maintain detailed and clear

documentation

using company tools and apps Communicate with customers professionally and clearly about technical issues Be patient and persistent when working with vendors and tech support Support teammates, share knowledge, and jump in wherever help is needed Uphold Buffalo Solars safety standards and quality of work on every job

What You Bring:

2+ years of experience in solar or electrical

installation/service Familiarity with residential PV systems and major components (inverters, modules, wiring) Ability to use multimeters, monitoring tools, and diagnostic apps confidently Strong

systems-thinking

mindset: youre always considering whats next? or what could go wrong? Patience and professionalism when dealing with vendors and long troubleshooting processes Comfort working independently, with strong communication and time management Valid driver's license and clean driving record Nice to Have:

Experience with inverter brands like Enphase, SolarEdge, SMA, Fronius Site assessment experience (solar, electrical, or construction) NABCEP certification or interest in pursuing one Our Core Values:
