Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Medical Director for Specialty Care who will play a pivotal leadership role in our organization. This part-time position is based at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. The ideal candidate will be a patient-centric clinician who excels in collaboration, communication, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Leadership:

Exemplify excellence in clinical practice, serving as a role model for others. Provide guidance and mentorship to clinical providers, driving achievement in quality, patient experience, and operational goals. Assist in recruitment processes for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. Collaborate with management to develop strategies and initiatives that align with the goals of Intermountain Health. Ensure open communication among all providers and management teams. Supervise and mentor Medical Directors from various specialties.

Financial Stewardship:

Regularly review cost and utilization data with practice leaders to enhance efficiency while maintaining quality of care. Collaborate on local practice management processes to optimize resource use. Assist in educating providers in coding, payer relations, and financial processes.

Customer Service:

Work with teams to enhance patient care and optimize service quality across all stakeholders.

Physician Partnership and Support:

Build strong relationships with healthcare providers through regular meetings. Conduct quarterly leadership rounds in assigned clinics. Participate in provider engagement activities, focusing on recruitment and retention.

Quality Management:

Assist in developing measures to evaluate care outcomes and enhance services. Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Engage providers in performance metrics leading to improved quality care.

Minimum Qualifications: MD or DO with board certification in a relevant specialty. Active Medical Licensure. At least two years of clinical experience, with a focus on leading quality improvement initiatives. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements: Effective communication skills to interact with teams and patients. Ability to operate various office equipment. Ability to remain seated or standing for prolonged periods. Location: Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital Billings, Montana Scheduled Weekly Hours: 16 The hourly rate for this position ranges significantly based on experience.
