The Application Engineering Specialist will discover new applications our products can achieve for our clients. The Application Engineering Specialist will identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and key players within the mobility world. They will do so through conducting market studies, analyzing competitor strategies, collaborating with internal teams to drive business expansion, etc.
The Application Engineering Specialist will join our talented team of Application Engineers. The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, is passionate about innovation, and thrives in an fast-paced environment.
Essential functions would include:
Market Exploration:
Conduct comprehensive market analysis to understand customer needs and requirements, and develop innovative solutions
Market Development:
Identify and develop new market opportunities and customer needs that have the potential to transform the mobility industry
Market Validation:
Build pitches that identify customer needs in relevant areas, and match with our capabilities to develop new products. Test new product concepts in the market and implement an agile development approach towards customer needs.
Collaboration
: Work closely with other team members to drive market-driven innovations and develop creative solutions together. Define clear goals & activities for new business ideas. Influence long term planning with product managers to ensure that it is aligned with strategy and profitability.
Innovation:
Innovate new product idea routes to market and technologies. Support the development and maintenance of a high-potential innovation pipeline for future business.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or similar discipline) required
2+ years' experience in product development (or similar) capacity required
Experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically automotive, is highly preferred

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $79,500 to $123,500.- -However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,400 to $135,800.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
