POSITION SUMMARY :
The IT Infrastructure Systems and Network administrator's role is to configure, maintain, and monitor network performance, applications, systems, and end-user computers/equipment to ensure a high level of availability and integrity of our systems. Participate in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system access and provisioning is consistent with industry best practices. This position is also responsible for providing operational and general administrative IT support including server administration, network administration, equipment setup and deployment, break-fix, equipment lifecycle management, and major incident resolution including both centralized and local technical support of network, voice, desktop, and server technologies.
Essential Functions
Help ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to company standards, policies, and security requirements
Demonstrate experience working in a distributed environment working with local and geographically distributed team members and teams
Be expected to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call list for emergency issues
Be expected to learn new technologies and apply that knowledge to the ever changing landscape of the company's IT needs
Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data that are part of our internal and external systems
Manage all aspects of the physical infrastructure such as servers, switches, access points, firewalls, etc.
Run disaster recovery procedures, backup jobs, and antivirus updates
Create and update systems procedures
Install, configure, upgrade, and support Windows and Linux servers and clients
Provide end-user computer hardware and software support to local and remote users provide backup support as volume and schedules require
Assist in the implementation of new technologies as business needs are identified
Monitor and manage software licensing compliance
Manage hardware inventory, including overseeing quarterly inventory counts at all locations. Assist with imaging and deployment of computer hardware when needed
Respond to help desk calls promptly and efficiently
Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
Skills
Experience working in the debt collection or a regulated industry preferred. (Significant experience in call center, healthcare, or financial services as a lead or subject matter expert may be considered in lieu of debt collection or regulatory experience)
Must be able to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment, handle multiple projects and be able to work with collaboratively with operations to streamline processes to optimize efficiency, compliance and the consumer experience
Strong Windows background is required. Solid understanding of Linux (Debian/CentOS) is preferred.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization from front line representatives to executives and to clients
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Education and Experience
Degree in any IT support related field encouraged, but not required
Minimum five (5) years' experience with Windows based operating systems including, but not limited to: Windows 10, Server 2012, Server 2016, and Server 2019
Minimum four (4) years' experience with several of the following: Microsoft Office suite, Exchange, IIS, Apache 2, WDS (Windows Deployment Services), Active Directory/LDAP, DNS, DHCP, SSH Shell, Bash, networking (NAT/VPN/Packet Handling/Layer 2 & 3 Switching), Power Shell, storage (iSCSI, NFS, DA), VMWare, Asterisk (Freepbx), SNMP, Linux (Debian/CentOS/SUSE),Mac OSX
Minimum three (3) years' experience managing networking technologies and Active Directory
