The Denver Athletic Club is a private, member-owned club located in the heart of downtown Denver. With over a century of history and a reputation for exceptional hospitality, the Club is currently seeking a strategic and client-focused Event Sales Manager to lead the private events program and drive revenue growth.This is a high-impact role suited for a motivated sales professional ready to evolve DAC's events program from a reactive model to a strategic, proactive approach. The Manager will focus on generating new business, qualifying leads, and guiding clients through a seamless booking experience-from inquiry through contract. The role is supported by an on-site Event Coordinator responsible for detailed planning and execution.Compensation and Benefits:Base salary of $55,000 plus commissionEarning potential of $75,000-$100,000+ based on bookingsHealth, dental, and vision insurance (after 60 days)Paid time off (after 90 days)401(k) with matchPaid holidaysFree downtown parking or RTD passFree shift mealsEmployee discounts across DAC services (spa, salon, F&B)Flexible, accountable scheduling: this is an exempt role with variable hours depending on events and client meetings. For example, if an event runs until 10:00 PM, the following day's schedule should reflect a later start. The workweek balances around 40 hours, with an emphasis on client coverage, sales activity, and team collaboration.Responsibilities include:Generate private event business through outreach, referrals, networking, and inbound inquiriesQualify leads to ensure alignment with Club capabilities and service standardsConduct site visits, tastings, and client consultations to close bookingsDraft and present custom proposals based on client needs and available spaceRespond promptly to RFPs and leads from member and public channelsManage contracts and support clients through the handoff to the Event CoordinatorServe as the point of contact for high-profile and VIP events as neededCollaborate with the culinary and food & beverage teams on menu packagesSupport event-related marketing by providing content, ideas, and insightTrack monthly sales performance and report regularly to the Director of F&BMaintain relationships with repeat clients, members, vendors, and event partnersQualifications:3+ years of experience in event or catering sales, preferably in a private club, hotel, or venueProven ability to meet and exceed sales goalsFamiliarity with food and beverage service standards and event flowExperience with event software (Jonas preferred) and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication, organization, and follow-up skillsExperience contributing to marketing or promotional efforts is a plusBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceWillingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for key eventsThe Denver Athletic Club is an equal opportunity employer.Please fill in an application online as we do not accept applications at our location.
