Burgess & Niple is eagerly searching for a dedicated Senior Traffic Engineer to join our growing team in Columbus, OH. As a Senior Traffic Engineer at B&N, you'll collaborate with some of the top transportation experts in the industry and help lead traffic operations/studies projects not only in Ohio but nationwide.
Here's What You'll Be Responsible For
Work as part of a project team, collaborating with industry leaders in transportation Lead studies and capacity analysis projects Prepare feasibility studies, interchange studies and traffic analysis for ODOT, local agencies, and clients throughout the country Develop and mentor less experienced traffic engineering staff Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery Maintain quality control of services and deliverables Engage with the transportation industry to identify marketing opportunities and build strategic business development relationships Serve as a go-to expert, providing technical guidance and support on traffic studies and capacity analysis
To Excel In This Role, You'll Need
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited civil engineering program Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the State of Ohio or eligibility for registration through reciprocity, PTOE desirable 8 + years of related traffic operations/studies Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam/Adobe Pro Proficiency in traffic engineering analysis software (HCS, Synchro, Sidra); Vissim and TransModeler experience is beneficial Prior Project Management experience desired Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
