Position Summary The purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate, and execute youth-based programming and events in collaboration with the Red Shield Program Director. These include annual gatherings, weekly programming, external partnerships, and special events. Essential Functions Maintain updated contact information for program members and ensure database accuracy. Ensure all participants have current release waivers on file annually. Manage and apply for High Awards related to youth activities and education programs. Implement and observe Child Safety policies. Maintain event calendars, send digital invitations and reminders, and prepare paper copies as needed. Gather participant information and process registrations accordingly. Oversee staff schedules, ensure training and certifications are current, and assist in staff processes. Coordinate fundraising efforts with the Program Director. Track activities for monthly reports and service documentation. Supervise volunteers and staff leaders, ensuring they have necessary supplies. Participate in community activities and promote the program. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position. Working Conditions Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, grasp, push, pull, operate equipment, and lift up to 25 lbs. Pay Rate:
$21-$24/hr Minimum Qualifications Associate degree preferred; relevant experience in program management or Salvation Army positions. Strong managerial, public speaking, staff management, and communication skills. Ability to pass required training and background checks; valid driver’s license; ability to drive Salvation Army vehicles (Class B preferred). English proficiency; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Excellent organizational and management skills. Result-oriented problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated with ability to delegate and motivate staff. Proficient in MS Office Suite and Outlook. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure. Employment Details
