This position reports to the Paramedic Field Supervisor.EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:Minimum:Hazardous Materials training to the First Responder Operations Level prior to the conclusion of department orientationDesired:One year experience in the pre-hospital settingLICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:Minimum:Currently licensed by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority as a ParamedicSierra Sacramento Valley Emergency Medical Services accreditation within 45 days of hire unlessan extension is granted by the issuing authorityCurrent CPR recognitionCurrent ACLS recognitionCurrent PALS or Handtevy Prehospital Pediatric Provider recognition within 6 months of hirePHTLS within 6 months of hire (tracked by dept)ICS 100, ICS 200, and ICS 700 within 6 months of hire (current Enloe Paramedics have until Feb29, 2024 to obtain this) (tracked by dept)California drivers license with ambulance drivers' certificate to include the medical exam certifi-cate. (HR collects & sends to compliance upon hire and then tracked by dept)Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center's Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimumage 21)SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to work effectively with peers, other departments, first responders and the public using good interpersonal skills, discretion and diplomacy.
