General Job Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management. Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions. Maintain accurate and complete medical records. Clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering various anesthesia techniques. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a surgical team. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patient conditions. Strong work ethic, stamina and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program.
License & Certifications
Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Michigan. National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Experience
While specific requirements may vary, most locum CRNA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting.
