Supply Chain Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Supply Chain Manager to lead sourcing, purchasing, and order-tracking operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is critical in driving the success of our manufacturing and production goals while ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers, focusing on cost control, quality, and delivery timelines. Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, and performance to ensure alignment with company standards and requirements. Create and manage purchase orders, track order status, and resolve discrepancies with invoices or deliveries. Maintain optimal inventory levels by developing and executing material demand-supply plans based on production requirements. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to address design changes, material needs, and process improvements. Identify and mitigate risks related to sole or single-source suppliers, ensuring continuity of supply. Develop and maintain supplier relationships, visiting facilities to assess technical capabilities and capacity as needed. Analyze procurement data, generate metrics and reports, and present findings to senior management. Support new product introduction (NPI) processes by collaborating on supplier selection, cost targets, and manufacturability reviews. Guide and mentor junior staff in procurement and supply chain practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, contract negotiation, or production planning; or 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Strong background in procurement, material planning, or operations management. Preferred Skills: Experience with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), satellites, or other aerospace projects. Proven experience in technical procurement and vendor management, including domestic and global supply chains. Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, datasheets, and blueprints. Track record of successfully negotiating contracts, achieving cost reductions, and meeting supply chain objectives. Familiarity with commodity sourcing (e.g., raw materials, machining, electronics, and sheet metal). Experience in new product introduction (NPI) sourcing and cost modeling. Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office Suite, and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL). Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Effective communication and presentation abilities, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-changing environment.
