Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst for a 3-5 month contract to lead our efforts in advancing digital maturity using the HIMSS Infrastructure Adoption Model (INFRAM). This role is critical for a project focused on assessing our current IT infrastructure, identifying gaps, and developing a strategic roadmap to align our technology with clinical and business outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both clinical workflows and technology infrastructure, with a proven track record of driving change and improvement in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
• HIMSS INFRAM Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of HIMSS INFRAM assessments and gap analyses, working with internal teams and external partners to benchmark our current infrastructure maturity. • Strategic Roadmap Development: Translate INFRAM assessment findings into a clear, actionable roadmap for infrastructure development and digital transformation, prioritizing initiatives to improve patient care and reduce operational risk. • Workflow Analysis & Optimization: Collaborate with clinical leaders, physicians, and frontline staff to analyze current workflows and recommend system and process enhancements that align with INFRAM's maturity stages. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between clinical, operational, and information technology teams, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals and fostering a collaborative environment for successful implementation. • Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for the INFRAM initiative, providing regular updates to leadership on progress and potential risks. • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior informatics staff, helping to build internal capabilities and a deeper understanding of health informatics principles and the INFRAM model.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a clinical informatics or healthcare IT role, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity. • Deep expertise and documented experience with the HIMSS Infrastructure Adoption Model (INFRAM). This includes having participated in or led INFRAM assessments, and the ability to interpret assessment results and develop an implementation plan. • Strong knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and healthcare data standards. • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both clinical and non-technical audiences. • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced degree (Master's) in Health Informatics or a related field. • Formal training or certification related to HIMSS maturity models (e.g., HIMSS-certified professional). • Experience in a consulting or project-based role within the healthcare sector.
