SUMMARY: Responsible for pick up and deliveries. Responsible for receiving and storage of all delivered supplies. Material Management Only: Responsible for timely deliveries of pharmacy supplies, bank bags, mail, med-surge supplies, hospital equipment and special non-stock orders
RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains work areas in a safe, sanitary and orderly manner, demonstrating proper equipment use and sanitation techniques Obeys all applicable laws and regulations dealing with operation of vehicle and DOT regulations. Reports all incidents, damage, accidents immediately to manager or supervisor. Food & Nutrition Services:
Assist in inventory control by maintaining organization and sanitation of coolers, freezers, and dry storage and by identifying shortages. Assembles and retrieves meals as required while maintaining food customer relations. Responsible for accurately filling and delivering supplies to units as required. Package bulk food supplies according to menu requirement and deliver to satellite facilities while, utilizing proper food handling practices in a timely, organized manner. Responsible for receiving all deliveries and storing supplies using appropriate safety practices as well as proper rotation of all supplies (first in, first out). Responsible for safe operation of food service equipment and utilizing personal protective equipment according to MSDS sheets. Materials Management:
Ensures US Mail is picked up daily and delivered to the mail room for RRH's departments/affiliates. Facilitates delivery requests in regards to pharmaceutical supplies and or drugs. Handle and delivers medical equipment for clinical technologies to the off sites. Manages cash bags and receipts for the Finance departments as well as Off-sites and Living Centers as well as cashing checks and making deposits as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively. Valid New York State Driver's License. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible. Ability to read and comprehend directions. Knowledge of all locals roads and major roads and major landmarks in the surrounding area. For Materials Management:
2 to 3 years of prior courier/delivery strongly preferred For Food & Nutrition Services:
Previous food service experience preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred
EDUCATION:
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: NYS DL - valid New York State Driver's License - New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
