Diamond Signs & Graphics is a leading branding partner to numerous Northeastern Ohio organizations. Our work spans from small donor recognition plaques to 5 story exterior building signs to fleet branding. Offerings include high-quality custom signs, vehicle wraps, large format graphics and interior branding products
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual to join our team. In addition to working with several software programs our new team member will help with printing and production. He or she will learn about various installations, thus understanding how to appropriately design and output.
The ideal candidate will have a strong design know-how, proficiency in industry-standard design software, and a hands-on approach to production. This dual-role position requires a balance of creative design skills and practical production capabilities. In addition, the candidate needs to be able to work in a fast paced client driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Graphic Design:
Collaborate with clients, plus the sales and installation teams to understand project requirements.
Create original, visually appealing, and effective designs for a wide range of signage products.
Prepare and proof final artwork files for production.
Modify and resize existing designs to fit various applications and client needs.
Maintain a well-organized library of digital assets, including client logos, design files, and stock images.
Assist in the development of new design concepts and product offerings.
Production Assistance:
Operate and maintain production equipment, including large format printers, vinyl cutter, and laminator.
Prepare substrates (e.g., acrylic, PVC, aluminum) for printing and application.
Weed, mask, and apply vinyl graphics to a variety of surfaces.
Assist with the finishing process, which may include trimming, grommeting, and mounting.
Perform quality control checks on all finished products.
Maintain a clean and organized production area.
Help manage and track material inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Experience with other design software is a plus.
Knowledge of printing processes, color management, and file preparation for large format production.
Familiarity with production equipment such as wide-format printers and vinyl cutters is a real bonus.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Physical ability to lift up to [e.g., 50 lbs.] and stand for extended periods.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills (but not required):
Experience with vehicle wrap design and installation.
Familiarity with RIP software (e.g., Onyx).
Previous experience in a sign shop or print production environment.
