The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS), also known as Medical Scribe, plays a pivotal role in supporting our primary care providers by ensuring accurate clinical documentation. This allows providers to concentrate on delivering exceptional patient care. As a CIS, you will assist throughout the patient care journey - participating in daily huddles, joining providers during exam room visits to observe and document, and following up after appointments to coordinate next steps. Beyond traditional scribing, our CISs are integral to clinical documentation support. Their expertise spans our value-based care model and chronic condition management, involving ICD-10 and CPT coding to close care gaps effectively. Extensive on-the-job training is provided in clinical workflows, preventive care practices, and other essential areas. This position is ideal for pre-med track individuals looking to gain valuable clinical experience before advancing to an MD/DO/PA/NP program, as well as those pursuing careers in health informatics, public health, healthcare administration, medical coding, and related fields. Key Responsibilities: Documenting Patient Encounters (80%): Assist providers in the exam room and document patient visits thoroughly. Create structured notes including medical history, assessment, plan, and physical exams. Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes. Prepare After Visit Summaries and ensure documentation accuracy. Clinical Documentation Improvement (10%): Request and review medical records for accuracy. Utilize population health tools to enhance clinical documentation. Support daily huddles and documentation reviews, discussing improvements with providers. Administrative Support (10%): Manage orders and referrals, address administrative tasks. Support care teams in clinical documentation and related duties. Qualifications: Knowledge:
Familiarity with medical terminology and medications, with prior clinical experience preferred. Skills:
Excellent listening, communication, and computer skills; fluency in community languages is a plus. Abilities:

We seek candidates who can dedicate themselves to this role for at least 1-2 years, with a full-time availability of approximately 40-45 hours per week. This is a full-time position, and we offer a competitive pay range of $17.00 - $25.65 per hour, dependent upon experience and location.
