The ADI

power module team

is seeking a motivated, experienced system design/architect engineer to provide support to our Multi-Market Power BU located at ADI’s San Jose offices. The candidate will be working with the industry best power engineering team and working on the industry leading power module product research, development and technical supports.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Developing qualification and characterization system, including hardware and software to support new product developments. Developing test and validation system to automate data collections and improve productivities Interface with Design, Product, Assembly, Application and Test Development engineers as part of an overall product development team. Supporting new power module product feasibility and development New module product performance evaluations including efficiency, thermal, stability, transient responses, protections, etc. Debugging and resolving potential issues. Generating detailed evaluation reports. Developing design and simulation models, tools and circuits. Supporting product failure analysis Providing technical writings, presentations and trainings as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum education: BSEE with power electronics background. MSEE a plus. Experience: 3-year or more industry experiences in designing, building and testing switching mode power supply circuits. Familiar with lab equipment such as oscilloscope, power supply, e-load, frequency analyzer, etc. Enjoy analog and power circuit designs, simulations, build and lab testing. Experience in developing (design, PCB layout and build) and evaluating analog circuit boards. Good background of analog circuit and power electronics. Experience with circuit design, simulation and CAD tools Good communication, technical writing and team working skills. Computer programing experience/skills is a plus. Has the ability to work as a part of multidisciplinary team with strong inter-personal and communication skills.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $125,120 to $172,040.

Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors. This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
