What role will you play?
The Commodities Data Science team applies new or advanced methods and technologies to build value across the Commodities business. In this role you will work with traders, analysts, quant researchers and technology teams to develop fundamental models and assisting sales and trading in their use of data and models. You will find and develop opportunities to apply new technologies and approaches, and work with external startups to further the commodities business.
This is a rapidly evolving area where your learning mindset, can-do attitude, and effective communication with a diverse set of stakeholders will see you succeed.
What You Offer
Bachelor's/Masters/PhD in a quantitative and problem-solving discipline with strong academic performance from a leading University 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science and/or machine learning model development and operation in a commercial environment Commodity trading exposure or general familiarity with a trading environment and associated language and terminology is highly positive Experience with an energy systems modelling platforms or technologies such as Plexos, Dayzer, GAMS, PyPSA etc is a plus Familiarity with data analytics platforms such as Dataiku, data visualisation, and cloud computing, such as AWS or GCP, is highly beneficial
