- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover beeper call only. There are an average of 3-5 patients per shift and 12 beds in the department. A physician assistant or nurse practitioner is needed to support a cardiovascular surgeon by rounding on postoperative inpatients in the hospital for 2 to 3 hours per day and being available to assist in both regularly scheduled and emergency surgical procedures. The primary surgical skill required is endoscopic vein harvesting using the Terumo system. This position involves 24-hour beeper call with a minimum 30-minute response time, with no clinic or office hours required. Surgical experience is necessary, and RNFA certification is preferred. Coverage is needed for the following dates: September 25 to October 3, November 25 to December 2, and December 23 to January 3, all from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m.
