Position Summary: Under direct supervision, a Metal Lab Tech performs basic lab tasks such as, preparing samples for testing, complete general testing, and prepare and complete paperwork such as control sheets, which define required testing methods based on industry specification. The tech will demonstrate the ability to follow internal technical process specifications and read blueprints. 0-2 years of experience. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.Perform laboratory tests: tensile, shear and fatigue stress durability, stress rupture, torque, hardness, hydrogen determination, static alignment, and ductility hardness testing.Macro and micro metallurgical preparation and examination.Prepare samples and associated data cards for orders to be tested./*generated inline style */ All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /*generated inline style */ For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.25 to $29.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.
