Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - Cardiothoracic Surgery in Clinton Township, MI

Position: Surgical Physician Assistant – Thoracic/Cardiac OR (Locum Tenens) Location: Michigan Start Date: ASAP ⏱️ Schedule: 4 days/week | 10-hour shifts Call: None EMR: Epic Why This Role? This opportunity is tailored for a highly experienced PA with a strong background in thoracic or cardiac first-assist procedures —especially those with robotic experience . You’ll have the chance to work independently while collaborating with elite surgeons in a Level II Trauma Center . Every case is meaningful. Every shift is impactful. What You’ll Do: Serve as a key OR first assist in thoracic or cardiac surgeries Perform bedside assisting and robotic lung resections / foregut procedures Handle pre-op testing and clinic coverage with autonomy Deliver outstanding care to an adult-only patient population Requirements: ✅ Board Certification (NCCPA) ✅ Active Michigan license ✅ Minimum 2 years of Thoracic OR experience (Cardiac first-assist PAs with strong experience also considered) ✅ Robotic surgery expertise – bedside assisting, docking, lung resections (Highly Preferred) ✅ BLS & ACLS certifications ✅ Clean background ✅ Prior experience with Epic ✅ Ability to work independently in high-pressure surgical environments What to Expect: 4 days per week | 10-hour shifts ‍⚕️ No call, no weekends If you’re confident in the OR and thrive in complex surgical cases, this position is crafted for you.
