Position Overview

Join our team as a Permanent Full-Time Mid-Level Diesel Mechanic Technician with Ryder. We are currently looking for experienced professionals to support our Truck Fleet operations.

  • Hourly Pay: $30.41 per hour
  • Certification Bonus: Earn $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter, four times per year
  • Sign-On Bonus: $750 at 30 days and an additional $750 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
  • Hours: Second Shift Tuesday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

  • Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required; two years of relevant experience strongly preferred.
  • A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A is preferred.
  • If hired, you must be able to obtain a CDL within six months.
  • Pass a drug test, DOT physical, and background checks as part of the employment process.

Responsibilities: As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including:

  • Conducting routine preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues
  • Handling repairs and replacements of defective components
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Interacting with customers to address service requests
