Key Responsibilities:
Process Design and Optimization
- Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Develop new processes or modify existing ones to accommodate new products or production goals.
- Utilize tools like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical analysis to identify and eliminate process inefficiencies.
- Analyze production data to identify root causes of defects, downtime, or inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to implement effective solutions to process issues.
- Lead process improvement projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Prepare project documentation, including process flow diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and technical reports.
- Work with quality assurance teams to ensure processes meet regulatory and internal quality standards.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and quality metrics.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment or technologies.
- Train production staff on new processes and equipment operations.
- Ensure processes adhere to environmental and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize hazards.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Familiarity with process control systems and data analysis tools.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, OSHA, EPA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
