Utility/Janitorial (Part-Time) Kakaako Oahu

We are looking to hire a highly motivated individual, dependable, trustworthy, good customer service and detail-oriented to join Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM). The part-time Janitorial  position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the building based on assigned cleaning duties located in Kakaako. Applicant must pass background check. Key responsibilities:

n
• Maintain high standard of cleanliness of assigned duties (sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, wipe down areas, and restock cleaning supplies
n
• Clean cabanas, grills, dog park, porte cochere, sky terrace, parking garage, loading zone, trash room, and carpeting cleaning.
n
• Check and wipe down furniture and plants
n
• Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, recyclables and properly dispose to designated area.
n
• Perform all other duties as assigned
n
• Multi-task, work efficiently both independently and as a team
n
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, vendors and property manager
n
• Follow safety procedures
n
• Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times
n
• Report safety issues or building problems (i.e. burnt light bulbs, etc.)
n
• Notify appropriate HBM employee of the supplies and equipment that are needed for cleaning duties.
n

Skills/Qualifications:

n
• High school diploma/GED preferred
n
• Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.
n
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
n
• Must have good public relations skills and communication
n
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, stair and climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shifts.

Schedule:  Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 12:30pm - 9pm or (24 hours a week)

Compensation range:  $18.25/per hour
