Seal Rock Healthcare, part of the Atlantic Heights Community, is a fully-licensed Medicaid/Medicare-certified facility offering 105 beds. Our Maintenance Team at Seal Rock supports our entire Atlantic Heights Community which includes The Inn, an 80 apartment assisted living and The Cottages, 45 independent living cottages. Hourly Rate $19.45 - $22.45
This is a full time position as a overnight prep cook. Hours are 11:00 PM-7:30 AM. Alternating weekend schedule. One on one off. Candidate must be dependable and a self starter. Must be comfortable with working alone as the candidate is the only employee working for several hours. Responsible for the preparation of the following day menu entrees and preparing breakfast for day shift staff.

Working for a Maineowned company while taking care of Maine people our Cooks work with a busyDietary Services team to prepare appetizing and healthful food based on thenutrition and health needs of our Residents.
Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:

  • Review menus priorto preparation of food
  • Inspect specialdiet trays to assure they are correct
  • Preparation, cooking,and service of a variety of foods
  • General cleaningup of kitchen
  • Dispose of foodand waste in accordance with established policies
  • Coordinatedietary service with other departments as necessary
  • Assist in standardizingthe methods in which work will be accomplished
  • Assure that foodand supplies for the meal are readily available
Requirements:
Education: Associate's degree preferred, notrequired
Experience: Two years related food service experience
Leadership: Position may need leadership skills and experience, if supervisingstaff
Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
