nMULTIPLE POSITIONS WILL BE FILLED FROM THIS RECRUITMENT
nperform duties of Housekeeping Building (B) Supervisor. Supervise housekeeping staff within the building (or buildings) assigned, normally 1 to 6 housekeepers. Coordinate daily activities of assigned housekeeping staff. Conduct building inspections to ensure that housekeeping tasks are being completed per department policy. Additionally, this position is responsible for ordering, inventory management and issuing supplies for the housekeeping department to ensure all buildings are stocked with cleaning supplies and consumable supplies to maintain restrooms and other areas as necessary. This position is the primary Special Project Team Leader for specialized cleaning requirements. Reports to work as directed during emergency closings.

nKnowledge, skills and abilities
nWorking knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment and safety practice. Knowledge of effective customer service and communication techniques. Demonstrated ability to lead the work of others. Demonstrated ability to read and explain cleaning directions and standards to others. Demonstrated ability to write and record inspection results on standard inspection form. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. many times per day.

nLevel and type of experience
nExperience in housekeeping/cleaning large buildings. Some institutional supervisory experience. Experience operating standard housekeeping equipment; experience in the use and application of chemicals such as germicides, disinfectants and caustic solutions.
nAdditional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
nPrevious housekeeping experience in institutional setting, ideally higher education. Experience with supply ordering and inventory. Experience preparing weekly supply usage reports.
