Responsibilities
n

The Clinical Care Attendant supports providers by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role includes patient intake, vital sign collection, performing point-of-care tests, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient experience from arrival to checkout. The attendant acts as a key team member, facilitating communication between patients, providers, and staff while maintaining compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

    n
  • Greet, register, and room patients; collect vital signs and patient history.

  • n
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures and perform point-of-care testing as directed.

  • n
  • Provide patient education and comfort, review after-visit instructions, and conduct follow-up calls.

  • n
  • Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and clinic logs per protocol.

  • n
  • Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and staff effectively.

  • n
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and safety standards.

  • n
  • Participate in clinic meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • n
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications
n
    n
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • n
  • Current Iowa certification as EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or CMA.

  • n
  • CPR/BLS certification required.

  • n
  • Clinical experience preferred.

  • n
  • Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with EHR systems preferred.

  • n
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

  • n
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity.
