The Job You Will Perform:

n

Utility Persons fill in throughout the Converting or Corrugator departments in entry level positions .

n

Converting:

n
    n
  • n

    Works at the direction of the operator.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Obtains required waste dunnage for top and bottom protector sheets for units.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Obtains required load tags for correct order identification.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Makes ready the load former for production run.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Assist helper and operator in house cleaning work.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Assist in clearing machine jams when necessary.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Completes Helper's duties when appropriate or instructed to do so.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Performs the "Top Box per Unit" quality check by folding up a box in the open position and checking for quality defects such as; glue joint, print quality, correct folding of all scores, and quality of board.

Corrugator:

n
    n
  • n

    Responsible to the department supervisor for the quality and quantity of work produced.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Operates the control panel for the down stacker.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Makes designated quality checks on all orders including checks for multiple outs.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Reports any non-conforming spec. to the Knife Operator.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Discards any waste generated from paper changes as well as any defects observed throughout the run.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Moves plastic tubes into place to receive stacks of sheets.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Properly marks each stack of sheets with the correct identification.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Releases loads for the stock handler.

    n
    • n
  • n

    Maintains good housekeeping.

    n
    • n
n

Reports any safety hazards and unsafe acts to the department supervisor

n

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, ability to write simple correspondence. Have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
