Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features. i3 has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division. The TEWD's mission is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through RDT&E of current and future technologies.
Contributing team member in the research, design, development, test, and analysis of EW subsystems, specifically electronic support measures (ESM). Design and develop hardware, software, and firmware. Develop and implement algorithms for use in ESM applications.
Required
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field. Proficient C/C++ developer. Experience designing, developing, and testing electronic and digital circuits. Experience debugging embedded software. Working knowledge of digital signal processing. Experience with MATLAB in simulation and data analysis.
Desired
Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field. Two (2+) years of experience. Working knowledge of radar and communication systems. Experience with electronic test equipment. Experience with General-Purpose Graphics Processing Unit (GPGPU) programming or the use of code generator frameworks such as Simulink.
Security Clearance
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Regular i3 hours are 800 a.m. - 500 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
