Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Patient Care Tech - Cardiac/Tele/Stoke-Nights Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Care Tech
• Location: Evanston Hospital
• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Hours: nights(11pm-7:30am) w/ rotating weekends

What you will do:

• Flow of work and character of duties involves normal mental, visual, auditory attention much or all of the time with manual dexterity is required for sustained periods of time.
• Requires visual acuity adequate to assess patients and read/record patient charts.
• Requires auditory acuity adequate to converse with patients, members of the healthcare team and coworkers who are wearing masks.
• Potential for exposure to blood, body fluids and other potentially infectious materials, chemicals and other hazardous conditions which may pose a health risk.
• Able to work under pressure to meet patient care needs.
• When in the clinical environment, must utilize appropriate patient movement equipment for patient-lifting and transfers when the transfer is a non-emergency situation.
• In an urgent event, may need to assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
• When applicable, wear an N95 mask/PAPR and other PPE.
• Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting throughout the shift.

What you will need:

• Eligible to work in the US
• Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course preferred
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association
• If BLS certification is not current or does not have certification, required to be obtained within the employee's introductory period (within 90 days of hire date)
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
• Basic Computer skills
