The energy sector is experiencing significant changes with decarbonization and energy transition efforts. Transmission planners are crucial in shaping the future grid, especially with the rise of large loads like Data Centers. As a transmission planning and studies engineer, you will collaborate with regional and global teams, support projects, and contribute to business development, primarily serving utility clients in the Northeast US. Key Responsibilities

Perform steady-state and transient power system studies. Participate in meetings with utilities for project delivery and business growth. Lead or support projects throughout their lifecycle, from proposals to completion. Collaborate with team members across North America and globally. Engage in ISO/RTO stakeholder forums and stay updated on standards and requirements. Qualifications

Advanced degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering. At least 4 years of experience with power system studies using PSS/E, TARA, or PSCAD. Experience with ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, or IESO. Knowledge of NERC, FERC, and NPCC standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to travel within North America. Preferred Skills

Experience with National Grid or Eversource. Experience with large loads like data centers. Professional Engineer (PE or PEng) license. The salary range is $150,000 to $200,000 annually, with individual pay determined by location, skills, and experience.
