The Opportunity We are hiring a Knowledge Strategy Lawyer (KSL) responsible for supporting strategic knowledge management initiatives within assigned transactional practice groups, including Banking and Corporate. The KSL will develop and implement projects to meet the knowledge needs of these groups, improve access to resources, and deploy technological solutions. The role involves creating and maintaining know-how materials, managing document automation, and deploying innovative technology tools to enhance legal service delivery. This is a hybrid role, working closely with the KM & Practice Innovation group and attorneys to promote best practices and adoption. Responsibilities Knowledge Strategy Assess knowledge needs of practice groups and develop plans aligned with business goals. Collaborate with KM group, Innovation & Emerging Technologies, and other teams to gather feedback, assess workflows, and implement solutions. Knowledge Bank & Knowhow Management Maintain and update model forms, practice notes, checklists, and other substantive content. Organize reference materials and ensure data accuracy within KM systems. Develop and maintain practice sites and repositories, facilitating sharing of expertise. Thought Leadership Monitor legal and market developments relevant to practice groups. Assist with client and firm-wide communications and newsletters. Practice Innovation Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve efficiency. Coordinate pilots and evaluate new legal technology products. Manage and implement legal technology tools, including AI-driven contract analysis and automation tools. Business Development Collaborate with practice members and marketing teams to identify business opportunities. Participate in client pitches and development activities. Training / Awareness & Mentorship Create and deliver training programs for attorneys and staff. Mentor associates and promote awareness of KM initiatives. Collaboration Gather feedback from stakeholders and collaborate on resource creation and sharing. Participate in KM and practice group meetings, sharing best practices and projects. Develop key metrics to measure engagement and adoption of KM resources. Other Provide additional support and complete special projects as needed. Substantive expertise in Banking or Finance practice is required. Excellent communication skills, experience with automation and AI tools, and a strong understanding of KM processes are essential. Minimum four years of legal practice experience in a large law firm, with relevant practice expertise, is required. Experience in a knowledge management role is preferred.
