Freddie Mac Contract to hire 2540 9-1 This role is for a modernization project, focused on converting business systems from legacy to modern architecture. The core technologies include Java, Angular, and UI development, with deployment on AWS Kubernetes. The role involves participation in architecture meetings, and at times, leading or contributing to POC conferences. Hands-on Java, microservices experience is required. Provide concrete technical solutions to complex business problems. Technically stronger, able to provide hands-on, practical solutions. Capable of applying architecture patterns and design patterns appropriately. Able to rationalize decisions based on business context. A strong technical background is a must—especially beyond just Java, including architecture, design, and practical problem-solving skills. Must Have Qualifications :
Solution Architect with the ability to follow business problems, interact with stakeholders, and with Java development experience. Design patterns and AIM experience are preferred. The focus is on identifying Solutions Architects with a strong development background. Our Impact : Introduce the overall technical vision by defining and establishing the solution architecture. Define High-Level Solution Intent, target state architectures, and roadmaps by collaborating with Business Architects, CPOs, POs, CDL, and other partners to ensure alignment. Define and build reference architectures and design patterns for consistent implementation. Own and drive development and maintenance of detailed solution intent and product architecture for responsible ARTs, addressing functional and non-functional requirements. Leverage Generative AI, AI/ML capabilities, within Enterprise Governance to enhance Multifamily Business capabilities. Plan and develop Architectural Runway supporting new features and capabilities. Identify solution alternatives and new technologies to meet business needs, improve customer experience, operational efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Participate in deployment activities to ensure successful implementation. Assist in incident resolution, troubleshooting, and impact assessments. Build reference applications and implementation standards for reusability and accelerated adoption. Develop and maintain an Application Design pattern catalog. Qualifications : Undergraduate degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred. 8-10+ years in Solutions Architecture and Business Application development. Prior software development background. 5+ years of task management experience. Hands-on and architectural experience with modern Cloud Native architectures; proven leadership in organizational transformations. 3+ years of large-scale enterprise transformation experience preferred. Experience in the mortgage industry is desirable. Deep knowledge of enterprise platforms used in the industry. Extensive experience with Solution Architecture patterns such as micro-front ends, microservices, 12-factor apps. Experience with tools and technologies like Java 8/10, Spring Boot, REST API, AWS Managed EKS, Istio, API Gateway, AWS Native Services, Sonar, Gradle, Bitbucket, SAFE, CI/CD, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Kafka, Data Lake, Amazon MQ, OAuth 2.0, Angular 10, Cypress, Collibra, Atlas, MongoDB, RDS, RedHat PAM, jBPM, Business Rules, Kiali, CloudFormation.
