X ! The Job As a Sr. Director of Product Management at CNN, you’ll be responsible for both the near-term prioritization and the long-term vision for engaging web products and features. You will lead and grow a team of passionate product managers. The ideal candidate is experienced in consumer product management, adept at solving complex problems, building strategies, and executing plans. You will drive the web engagement and discovery product vision, advocate for users with strong user empathy, and establish a high-performing team structure. You are strategic, creative, and influential, committed to challenging the status quo and building world-class product experiences. The Daily Set your team’s goals, success metrics, and roadmap aligned with CNN’s mission to maximize impact based on data analysis, market research, and usability studies. Build, manage, and empower a high-performing, innovative product team; understand target user segments, identify pain points, demonstrate user empathy, and align product strategy with company vision. Grow and mentor team members, fostering an inclusive environment of teamwork, risk-taking, and trust. Oversee the holistic view of your product suite, ensuring seamless user experiences through integration of customer and technical points. Create end-to-end customer journeys to inform product features and identify new business opportunities. Use user research and analytics to understand engagement, user needs, and pain points. Inspire and motivate your team and the external product community, sharing what works and learning together. Champion effective and intuitive features in the CMS for content programming and distribution. The Essentials 12+ years of experience leading digital experiences at a consumer-focused technology company. 7+ years of management experience. Experience building systems from conception to deployment, including model selection, training, validation, and scaling. Proven success in high-performance, scalable personalization systems. Experience working in the streaming space. Strong leadership skills to empower and develop product managers. Proven track record of building world-class product experiences and streamlining workflows. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
