Chief Operations Officer (COO), Corporate Office
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience within a zoological or tourism-related environment, with a strong focus on operations management. • A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree is preferred. • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, coordinate, and optimize multi-departmental park operations. • Ability to maintain a professional and composed demeanor when managing internal and external challenges. • Comprehensive understanding of zoo and park operations, including guest services, facilities, and animal care management. • Proven expertise in budgeting and financial management, with experience in achieving and sustaining operational financial targets. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of basic accounting software. • Willingness and ability to travel between parks if needed. • Capability to physically traverse park properties as necessary while carrying out professional duties. • Strategic thinker with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and an efficiency-oriented mindset. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Highly self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. • Strong capacity to lead cross-functional initiatives that align with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
