AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Media Relations Manager to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care by supporting our media outreach, helping shape our public narrative, and increasing visibility for our advocacy work. The Media Relations Manager plays an important role generating earned media coverage to promote AHCA/NCAL as the national leader in long term and post-acute care; strengthen the Association’s brand visibility; and advance our strategic goals.

Duties & Responsibilities: Support the development and execution of media outreach strategies. Manage media inquiries and interview requests, preparing spokespeople as needed. Draft press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials. Research and maintain media lists of national, DC, and trade reporters. Assist with pitching stories to journalists and tracking coverage. Monitor news trends relevant to long-term care and our key issues. Help prepare talking points, fact sheets, and briefing documents. Support events and campaigns with media relations and communications support. Other special projects and duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related discipline. 1-3 years of relevant experience working in journalism, PR, communications or related health care field (internships, volunteer experience, or entry-level roles in PR are acceptable).
