Job Summary : POSITION SUMMARY : The University of San Francisco (USF) is recognized as a leading Jesuit, urban university with a diverse student and faculty population and a global perspective. The Office of Development is investing in the growth of our team! Every member plays a role in providing our donors with excellent service and attention to ensure a positive philanthropic experience. The Assistant Director of Development, School of Management, is an integral part of the Major Gifts team and will play a critical role in our expansion. We are currently in a quiet phase of our $500 million capital campaign; this role will help build stronger ties with our alumni and surrounding communities. The next five years are crucial as we launch several initiatives, including alumni relationship building, supporting the School of Management's $50 million campaign, and celebrating the business school's Centennial anniversary. The School of Management has eight graduate programs, nine undergraduate programs, and over 50,000 alumni worldwide. The Assistant Director will help build and support the fundraising pipeline, assist with Advisory Boards and volunteer committees, and collaborate with the Dean, alumni engagement, and events teams to engage major donors, alumni, and the business community. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Assistant Director will fundraise for all programs and campaign priorities, managing relationships and securing gifts of $25,000+ with a goal of over $100,000 in year one, increasing thereafter. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Fundraising 50% Manage a portfolio of 75-125 prospects, developing ongoing relationships from research through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Conduct 8-10 visits per month, qualify 24-36 prospects annually, and conduct at least 6 solicitations aiming to raise over $250,000 in year one.

Volunteer Engagement 20% Staff advisory boards and volunteer committees, identify and recruit members, and support relationships with volunteers to advance the school's mission.

Strategic Planning 15% Partner with the Director to establish a five-year plan to grow contributions, secure major gifts from alumni, the business community, non-alumni, and parents, and manage the Young Alumni membership program.

Collaboration 15% Work with Corporate and Foundation Relations, Gift Planning, and Annual Fund teams. Stay informed about programs and initiatives within the School of Management and the university.

QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with preference for advanced degrees.3-5 years of successful fundraising experience, particularly in major gifts.Proven ability to meet fundraising goals and work effectively with high-net-worth individuals and community leaders.Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to philanthropy.Knowledge of fundraising principles, donor relations, and public relations.Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.High emotional intelligence, collaboration skills, and trust-building ability.Familiarity with USF's mission and infrastructure or ability to learn about it. #J-18808-Ljbffr
