Art Direction Manager Introduction to Team Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability. Expedia Group is seeking a highly talented designer and video editor who has experience managing all aspects of a video production lifecycle, including project communications, editing, compositing, motion graphics, and post-production workflows. Success in this role requires the ability to independently balance multiple projects at once, demonstrate a strong sense of creative storytelling, and also be able to work on static-designs from time to time (ex: PPT decks and presentations, Basecamp pages, a Slack graphic, etc.). You are a passionate and positive person who makes people feel at ease, is a joy to collaborate with, and approaches projects with curiosity while setting the bar high for craft. In this role you will: Stay ahead of industry trends, bringing innovative ideas to enhance the design and functionality of Expedia Group’s corporate brand and digital ecosystem with a heavier focus on videos Transform raw clips and video footage into high-quality finished videos used to inform, engage, and inspire our audience (primarily employees and internal stakeholders) Optimize designs for performance, scalability, and accessibility - anything from a PPT deck to a Basecamp page to a video Manage design projects from concept to final delivery (projects will be video heavy) with the ability to weave in storytelling and storyboarding with zero to minimal creative direction Experience and Qualifications: Storytelling skills with a deep understanding of branding, typography, layout, and video editing Expert understanding of Adobe CC and other industry-standard post-production tools (Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder) Asset and file management wizardry Excellent time management skills and the ability to deliver multiple projects on tight deadlines with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail. In-depth understanding of diverse types of video production processes and deliverables. Ex: digital events, broadcast, short and long-form brand stories, social-first content. Ability to interview people and make them feel comfortable while our AV team films them in order to get a compelling story (think of high quality documentaries with engaging B rolls) Can communicate design rationale effectively and present work to stakeholders at all levels. A stellar portfolio showcasing beautiful, inclusive designs centered on storytelling, scalable design systems, and great examples of videography, typography, color, branding (illustration is a plus!) The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
