As a systems engineer on our team, you'll have the chance to shape F-35 aircraft capability and readiness by leading design reviews and implementation planning for training and simulation systems. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. On our team, you'll be able to broaden your skill set into areas like Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training environments and Open Architecture implementation. Grow your skills by merging systems engineering and pilot training simulator design to create an LVC training environment that integrates multiple training device sites into legacy enclaves. You'll effectively work within the simulation environment and a program office to help achieve the client's initiatives of providing test and evaluation support for fifth-generation fighter aircraft utilizing modeled and simulated ranges of current threats and emitters. experience
in an engineering or technical position Knowledge of
simulation and stimulation principles and the cost benefit trade-offs of commercial off-the-shelf equipment versus military-specific systems for training system design and development Knowledge of
core systems engineering principles, including spiral design, reuse, open systems, compatibility, configuration management, logistics and life cycle support, cost analysis, upward compatibility, testing, and verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) Ability to
conduct Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, perform requirements analysis and decomposition, develop validation and verification requirements, and identify test resource allocation needs for training and simulation systems Ability to
operate independently of regular oversight and guidance, including determining, presenting, and executing a plan of action based on general client objectives Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science Nice If You Have: Knowledge of
pilot training simulator systems and their design and implementation Knowledge of
pilot training programs Knowledge of
DoD acquisition processes, military and commercial system and program management standards, and joint service policies, directives, and instructions Knowledge of
modern fighter aircraft mission systems such as radar, electronic warfare, and weapons systems Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
