We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Project Manager - Construction to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work on exciting construction projects and make a significant impact on their successful completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from planning and procurement to implementation and completion. This role is perfect for a professional with a strong background in construction management and public works, who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects from initial planning to completion. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors to ensure standards of building performance, quality, cost schedules and safety are maintained. Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure project is built according to the prescribed plans. Meet contractual conditions of performance and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors. Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory. Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5+ years of proven working experience in construction management. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods. Understanding of all facets of the construction process. Familiarity with construction management software packages. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”. Competent in conflict and crisis management. Excellent time and project management skills. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Strong leadership and team building abilities. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards. Good knowledge of MS Office and construction/project management software. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage. Strong problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
