Summary of Responsibilities
Stratosphere Quality is seeking a dynamic
Plant Manager
to lead our facility in Montgomery, IL. This leader will be responsible for overseeing the operational performance of the plant, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-paced manufacturing environment, builds strong teams, and consistently drives operational excellence. Salary: $100K-$110K annually Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Oversee all daily plant activities, including production, staffing, safety, and maintenance. Lead and manage supervisors and hourly employees to meet operational targets and customer expectations. Monitor plant output, quality, and service levels; develop action plans to address performance gaps. Implement process improvements using Lean or Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and boost productivity. Analyze volume trends and adjust resource planning to meet fluctuating customer needs. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including OSHA and quality standards. Facilitate clear communication between plant personnel and cross-functional departments. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and workplace safety. Maintain training schedules and documentation to ensure workforce compliance and development. Oversee the use of temporary staffing to meet labor demands, ensuring proper onboarding and supervision. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field ). Minimum of 4 years of supervisory or plant-level management experience in a production environment. Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage day-to-day plant operations. Solid experience in driving employee engagement and reducing turnover. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, process improvement, or quality system frameworks. Comfortable working with performance data to track goals, KPIs, and drive change. Strong conflict resolution and decision-making abilities under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
