Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a
Senior Supply Chain Manager (Level M)
to join our
Global Supply Chain & Integration
team’s
Boeing Exploration Systems
division in
New Orleans, Louisiana .
This position will have oversight over the
Exploration Upper Stage
effort within the
Space Launch Systems
program. This is a dynamic role that will work closely with program personnel working to accelerate and expedite schedule and performance collaboratively across the program.
Position Responsibilities:
Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements Manages employees and mid level managers from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
More than 5 years of experience in managing supplier performance More than 5 years of experience working in supplier management More than 3 years in a leadership or management role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher More than 5 years of experience with procurement on government (DoD/NASA) contracts More than 5 years developing and presenting reports to senior leadership
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 50% of the time.
