Competitive base + performance bonuses (Total Comp Range: $100,000–$130,000+) About the Role On behalf of our client—a Michelin-trained, premium Japanese Wagyu and seafood buffet concept located in Downtown Los Angeles—we are seeking a results-driven
General Manager
to lead front- and back-of-house operations, deliver elevated guest experiences, and drive team performance at one of the most talked-about dining destinations in the city. This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-volume, high-end buffet with a unique service model featuring A5 Wagyu, king crab, lobster, and live chef experiences. The ideal candidate brings both hospitality finesse and operational discipline—capable of managing a multi-shift team, upholding brand standards, and hitting labor, food cost, and guest satisfaction targets in a fast-paced, experience-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily FOH and BOH operations, including dinner service, lunch (weekends), and private events Train and supervise all hourly staff: hosts, servers, runners, chefs, kitchen, and support team Manage labor scheduling, timekeeping, and staffing to meet budget and coverage needs Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and brand presentation (including HACCP compliance) Ensure optimal execution of buffet tiers, table-side service, and VIP offerings (e.g., Tomahawk Ritual) Address and resolve guest issues in real time to maintain a luxury service standard Oversee nightly cash handling, reporting, and daily P&L tracking with back-office team Collaborate with corporate teams on marketing campaigns, special events, and product launches Recruit, coach, and retain top-performing talent to support operational growth and service excellence Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience as General Manager or AGM in upscale or high-volume restaurant settings Strong leadership skills with a calm, professional presence in high-pressure situations Knowledge of Japanese or Korean BBQ, seafood service, or buffet operations is a plus Experience with restaurant financials (COGS, labor %, P&Ls), compliance, and staff development Bilingual English/Spanish, English/Korean, or English/Japanese is a plus but not required Must be authorized to work in the United States Why Join Competitive pay with performance-based bonus potential Opportunity to lead a flagship location with national visibility and media exposure Work in an architecturally stunning venue with a Michelin-trained culinary team Be part of a growing hospitality group with room for advancement into multi-unit leadership Staff meal provided; valet or parking reimbursement negotiable Seniority level
