The Product Manager is responsible for the development and execution of product line strategies that bring value to the marketplace. This role will function as an expert in the Aftermarket Clutch product line for the organization. You will be responsible for pricing strategy, competitor strategies, vocational strategies, marketing activities, lifecycle management, and project management. This role is accountable for growing the product line offering, and achieving sales, margin, and market share goals.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $123,750 - $181,500. Please note that salary information is a general guideline and is based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
What You’ll Do Strategy
Develop, execute, and track product line strategies to drive sales and marketing efforts. Update annually or as needed.
Use tools to track performance monthly.
Develop competitor and vocational strategies and operating plans.
Execute product line initiatives to meet sales and profit objectives.
Deliver projects, new opportunities, and reports on time and within budget.
Develop cost reduction initiatives to improve competitive positioning.
Develop and recommend pricing and quote strategies to achieve profitability objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives, providing feedback on what works.
Develop proficiency in systems used to measure results.
Proactively address changing market conditions, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Planning
Plan annual product line activities and manage to the launch calendar.
Participate in strategic planning processes.
Develop and implement annual pricing strategies to meet targets and stay competitive.
Control
Analyze product line performance against goals.
Use tracking templates to monitor programs and provide feedback to sales, segmented by PSM, territory, and region.
Assess and adjust strategies based on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
Customer Satisfaction
Develop product line training programs.
Maintain product catalog information and cross-references.
Maintain customer contacts for market intelligence.
Keep product content updated on the website.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
At least 7 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Program or Product Management, or Project Management.
No sponsorship support available; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Galesburg MI or Southfield MI (active duty military exempt).
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Truck Products Knowledge
Six Sigma Green Belt
Experience in trucking and transportation industries, especially in the aftermarket division.
