About the role: The Sr Culinary Operations Manager will partner directly with the Market Director and Operations Manager, playing a key role in growing the business and holding the team accountable. This individual will oversee operations and provide strong leadership to a team of associates and supervisors. They will manage multiple aspects of the facility, focusing on optimization and execution. Success in this role involves being a partner to our chef community, ensuring they have what they need for menu strategy and execution. The role collaborates with key stakeholders on recipe consistency, development, food safety, and quality assurance across food production. Responsibilities: Provide strategic operational leadership across Kitchen and Storage, with a hands-on approach Manage, coach, and motivate a team, providing necessary equipment, training, and guidance Lead team growth, development, and performance management Maintain financial reports including forecasting, labor, food costs, and revenue Coordinate with stakeholders for ordering supplies based on demand Maintain relationships with local vendors and purveyors Ensure proper sourcing, receipt, and inventory of ingredients Promote a safe food and work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and sustainability policies Assist in onboarding and implementing new menu items, ensuring recipe accuracy during production Requirements: 5+ years leadership experience in Food Manufacturing or High Volume Commercial Kitchens Excellent communication and organizational skills; conversational Spanish is a plus Availability to work weekends, holidays, and onsite Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations FoodServe Manager License Proficiency with Google apps (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, etc.) Experience sourcing local, sustainable, and organic ingredients Ability to lead in a fast-paced, changing environment Benefits: Health Insurance 401k Plan Stock Options from Day 1 Bi-annual performance bonus PTO and paid sick leave 5-year Sabbatical (4 weeks paid) Paid Family Leave Compassionate Leave (3-5 days as needed) Monthly CookUnity meal credits Customizable benefits via our platform, including learning, wellness, and delivery perks Personalized Spanish coaching Join a company dedicated to transforming how we eat and support chefs!
