Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including medical and surgical cases. This includes diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing care plans, and ongoing patient evaluation.

Essential Functions
Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
Performs comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Develops appropriate care and follow-up plans based on diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
Maintains high-quality, timely documentation including admission notes, progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
Performs bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.
Orders medications and writes prescriptions following organizational and regulatory policies.
Education Master's Degree in Nursing required.
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Licenses and Credentials Required: Registered Nurse (RN) license and Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license, or Physician Assistant license. Preference for HR Only candidates with these licenses.
Experience 0-1 year of experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Skilled in taking medical histories and interpreting findings.
Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Calm and effective response in emergency situations.
Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
Effective communication skills and ability to establish working relationships with patients and staff.
