Job Description
ROLE
We are seeking an Inventory Management Support Specialist to support the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission (OSHRC) in Washington, D.C. Your responsibilities will focus on performing equipment inventories, maintaining asset records, and supporting property reconciliation and reporting in accordance with federal property management policies and OSHRC internal procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate records of accountable government-owned property
Assist with tagging, tracking, and reconciling office equipment and peripherals
Support periodic inventory audits and property reviews in accordance with agency policy
Update asset management databases such as Sunflower, Maximo, or other approved systems
Perform physical inventory of IT and office equipment at designated government sites
Apply barcode tags to equipment and ensure associated records are updated
Identify and report missing, misplaced, or unaccounted-for property to appropriate personnel
Coordinate equipment check-in/check-out procedures with agency staff
Facilitate property transfers, excessing actions, and compliant disposal processes
Prepare reports detailing inventory status, discrepancies, and corrective measures
Provide administrative support for documentation and compliance audit activities
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Knowledge of asset tracking systems (e.g., Sunflower, Maximo)
Understanding of federal inventory or property management procedures
Ability to perform physical inventories and maintain accurate records
Familiarity with audit preparation and compliance documentation
Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
EXPERIENCE
Experience conducting equipment inventories in a government or office setting
Experience using asset management tools to update and reconcile records
Experience supporting property lifecycle tasks (tagging, check-in/check-out, transfers)
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required
Undergraduate degree
